Rani pink farshi salwar suit set with mirror work and tassels

Farshi Salwar Suits: The Viral Look of 2026 (and How to Style It)

If your feed is full of women twirling in a flowing, floor-sweeping salwar, you have already met the farshi salwar. Farshi means "touching the floor" – the salwar is cut so wide and long that it falls like a skirt. It began in the royal courts of Lucknow and Hyderabad, and in 2026 it is the most viral suit for festive days, haldi, mehendi and Diwali parties.

Our farshi sets come in two styles, both free size and both ₹1,299.

The boho version: a printed kurta with a pearl-and-mirror lace neckline over a crisp white farshi salwar. Perfect for haldi, mehendi, day functions and festive brunches. In Rani Pink, Bottle Green and Multicolour.

How to style a farshi salwar

  • Footwear: flat juttis or kolhapuris – the salwar is long, so skip high heels.
  • Jewellery: statement jhumkas or chandbalis and a few bangles; keep the neck light.
  • Hair: a low bun with gajra or a side braid shows off the kurta neckline.
  • Twirl test: the more it flares, the better your reel. It is made for it.

Where to wear it

  • Haldi, mehendi and sangeet
  • Karwa Chauth evening, Diwali parties and Bhai Dooj
  • Eid, Teej and family functions
  • Festive office days and college events
